
Introduction to Leather Repair Course

One-day Leather repair skills workshop: 9am to 4pm - £180 per day

Students will be taught the following:
-
Leather origin production and process.

Identification of leather types, thickness and uses.

Health and safety when dealing with these products.

Assessment of condition and resolving or acceptance of marks (natural and man-made), stains, scuffs and tears.
-
Practical breakout session using various products to carry out restorative processes.
-
Products on the market that are fit for purpose and achieve good results.
All materials will be provided. You are welcome to bring along a small item if you would like to attempt a repair on it.
Protective gloves and masks will be provided but you might to bring your own apron in order to protect your clothing.
