Introduction to Leather Repair Course

One-day Leather repair skills workshop: 10am to 4pm - £180 per day

Possible dates: Tuesday, 3rd March or Saturday, 21st March 10am-4pm - please contact us if you would be interested in attending either of these dates.

Students will be taught the following:

  • Leather origin production and process.

  • Identification of leather types, thickness and uses.

  • Health and safety when dealing with these products.

  • Assessment of condition and resolving or acceptance of marks (natural and man-made), stains, scuffs and tears.

  • Practical breakout session using various products to carry out restorative processes.

  • Products on the market that are fit for purpose and achieve good results.

All materials will be provided. You are welcome to bring along a small item if you would like to attempt a repair on it.

Protective gloves and masks will be provided but you might to bring your own apron in order to protect your clothing.
